Uganda Mission 2015 - Friday 22nd May

We were up bright and early for devotions and breakfast so we could set off for the long journey to Ibanda.

During devotions Gaynor gave a prophecy about the trip which echoed what happened in Acts 6 – God told Paul to change direction and go to Macedonia. Paul's obedience resulted in mighty miracles! Everyone was encouraged!

The road to Ibanda was unchartered territory for us. This year is our first time heading to western Uganda. We were pleasantly surprised to be able travel the entire journey along a smooth tarmaced road with almost no pot holes! The actual distance is further than our usual journey to Mbale but because of the roads we were able to complete it in less time. We even managed to make an obligatory stop at the equator for a quick photo!

Along the journey we were spoilt with the lushous greenery and oustanding views. Towards the end we were able to see the Rwanzori mountains – what a sight!

We were extremely blessed to discover the hotel had the same amazing view. Praise God! The facilities are basic (no internet!) but we're not here for a holiday, we're here to do God's work!
