Day 6 - Another Day of Glory

Pastor Bob spoke at the conference tracing God’s plan of salvation through Genesis to the Gospels and Revelation. The anointing of God fell on the place as people repented.

Another team led by Jon with Paul, Clare, Kirsty, Jayson and Vicky went to the schools. The first school involved a bit of a ‘lion hunt’ to get to, ‘through long grass, short grass’. 700 children under trees for shade roaring like lions, learning about Daniel – their natural language Bible is not translated in the OT. On, to another small primary school with a spectacular setting against the Elgon mountains but whose children were so poor. In both schools about 50 responded to the gospel.

The evening crusade had evangelist Dorothy Burke preaching the gospel with passion and giving her testimony. ‘When you see those eyes staring at you, you just gotta say something!’ 37 came forward.

A trip home on the bus saw the ‘overhead seatbelt sign come on in our cabin’ while we experienced severe turbulence from deep ruts in the road causing Dorothy great hysteria! Truthfully – we are in a rattly, dusty coach, which when you hit the vehicle roof because of the gaping holes in the road surface you bang down on the hard seat springs.
