Mission Uganda May/June

Mission Uganda May/June came upon us before we knew it was.

The weeks leading up to leaving the UK was busy with lecturing in my favourite subject 'Christ in the Tabernacle' at Carmel Bible College. Bristol.

Then it was packing and sorting the clothes and shoes that we had been given for the team to bring.

Sorting out travel arrangements, flights, accommodation, internal transport, visas which incidentally due to an error in the post office of selling the wrong product, left me with less than 12 hours to travel to London and personally collect them. Thanks to the cooperation of the Ugandan consular staff, all is well.

In the initial planning of the mission we had a couple of security issues in view of atrocities in the school in Keyna by Al Shabbab.

The Mission this year is in the West of Uganda and our base is in the town of Ibanda, from there we will conduct three conference and crusades in three villages consecutively. This will be an extremely busy time with long days and short rest times.

With the resistance there has been in its organisation we are eagerly waiting to see what God is going to do.

We arrived as the advance party Saturday 16th May and on Sunday straight into ministering in morning service at Bukoto Evangelical Church, where many came forward desiring a personal closer relationship with God.

The evening service at Grace Life Church, I was at its dedication service in February 2015 so was privaledge to be invited to minister there.

The team from Carmel Bible College will join us on Thursday 21st May arriving at Entebbe around 22.30hrs then it is Customs and baggage clearance, then an hour journey to the Hotel in Kampala, eta around 0030 Friday 22nd. It is then up for breakfast at 8am ready for the 6/7 hour journey by road to Ibanda. On this route we shall be crossing the Equator, probably a first by land for many.

It has been good to catch up with our team in Uganda and to witness what they are doing in the ministry.

These days ahead of the team has also given me the opportunity to continue the registration of Gospellife International with the Ugandan authorities.

Keep tuned in, more news as it happens.
